Dental Esthetics in Practice is a comprehensive educational course that reviews key elements of esthetic dentistry with an emphasis on tooth whitening.  The material was developed by dental educators, oral health researchers and opinion leaders in the field.  The program contains five modules that include videos and other interactive tools.

Module 1 –  Focus on the Patient

This module reviews concepts of beauty, factors that influence
patients’ interest in esthetic procedures and techniques to
effectively communicate treatment options with patients.

Module 2 –  Dental Esthetics and the Practice

Topics covered in this section include creating a cohesive esthetic
office team, building a profitable esthetic practice, and ensuring successful outcomes for the patient and the practice.

Module 3 –  Understanding Color and Shade

From the fundamentals of color to digital imaging analysis, this
module reviews the practical application of color and shade in
dental esthetics.

Module 4 –  Overview of Esthetic and Restorative Procedures

This module gives an overview of key esthetic and restorative procedures, including tooth whitening, resin bonding, veneers,
crown & bridge, enamel microabrasion, implants and orthodontics.

Module 5 –  Tooth Whitening

This module focuses on the fundamentals of whitening, including whitening agents and factors that affect whitening response.
It also reviews details of popular delivery systems, including
in-office systems, tray-based systems and whitening strips.
