Introduction
Introduction

Poor oral hygiene and dental disease may be more prevalent in patients with disabilities due to the effects of their condition and medication on the oral environment.  This course provides dental professionals with information to help the patient with special needs and the caregiver attain the appropriate knowledge to treat and maintain good oral health.

When you complete a continuing education course on dentalcare.com, a form will come up that requests your name, address, etc.  If you are a member of the AGD, make sure to fill out the field that asks for your AGD membership number (if you are not an AGD member, leave blank).  When you hit submit, a copy of the "proof of completion" is e-mailed directly to the AGD and P&G.  For your records, make sure to print a copy of the "proof of completion" certificate.

Disclaimer:  Participants must always be aware of the hazards of using limited knowledge in integrating new techniques or procedures into their practice.  Only sound evidence-based dentistry should be used in patient therapy.

Note:  Registration is required to take test.
