Introduction

Continued focus on access to dental care has prompted legislative initiative(s) and robust national dialogue. Dental providers increasingly are being asked to improve oral health for all populations in the United States (US). This is a result of numerous reports that continue to shed light on the disparities many in the US face when it comes to health status. This course will provide basic knowledge of access issues, trends and the infrastructure, including models to improve dental care in the US.
