Tooth Extrusion
The tooth is displaced partially out of the socket and is usually displaced palatally, depending on the trauma. Treatment includes repositioning it the tooth gently. Check the occlusion to be sure there is no pressure on the tooth and follow the most current treatment guidelines for this type of trauma by the AAPD. The dentist will periodically monitor the vitality of the pulp and perform root canal therapy if needed.
