Levator Labii Superioris Alaeque Nasi

The levator labii superioris alaeque nasi muscle originates near the medial corner of the eye on the maxillary process of the maxilla. It then passes inferiorly and insert both into the upper lip and the alar of the nose. It both elevates the upper lip but in addition widens the nostril and raises the corner of the nose.
