Introduction – Marijuana

The legalization of marijuana for medical use and additionally for recreational use in multiple states, with several other states considering legalization and decriminalization of marijuana, has stimulated the need for oral health professionals to be aware of the incidence of use among their patients and the impact on oral health. Upon completion of this course, oral health care professionals will have a better understanding of the impact on demographics, mechanisms, general health and oral health with the legalization of marijuana.
