Maxillary Anatomical Landmarks

The maxilla is the upper dental arch that contains the maxillary alveolar process, the maxillary teeth, and the maxillary sinuses. It sits on either side of the nasal cavity and below the orbits. There are characteristic landmarks both in the anterior and posterior segments of the maxilla that can be observed on maxillary periapical images.
