Working End

The working end is the blade or cutting edge. Considerations include whether the toe is rounded or pointed; single or double bladed; thick or thin; curved or straight; blade length; and the angle of the cutting edge to the shank so the blade can adapt at a correct working angle (Figures 3-4).^10,16
