Diet and nutrition are significant influencers of oral health. Oral pathology is one of the first observations leading to prevalent systemic disease including metabolic disorders. Nutritional imbalances, including vitamins D and C, as well as minerals such as calcium, zinc, and magnesium, are associated with chronic oral diseases, such as gingivitis, periodontal disease, and dental caries.2
